Boutique Hotel — Chiang Mai

The client needed units that looked identical across 60 deliveries — a fundamental challenge in upholstery production that requires strict material and process control.

We sourced a single batch of performance bouclé in warm sand to guarantee colour and texture consistency across all pieces. Every chair was cut from the same fabric roll sequence to avoid dye-lot variation.

The foam specification was 45kg/m³ high-resilience — chosen for durability in a commercial setting where pieces are used daily by multiple guests. Softer residential-grade foam would have compressed unevenly within 12 months.

All 60 chairs and 30 ottomans were delivered to site in a single shipment, wrapped and labelled by room number for the installation team.

Frames were built and cured in our own workshop rather than bought in, which is what makes a run of this size repeatable — bought-in frames arrive from different batches and carry small dimensional differences that show up once the same fabric is stretched over them. Seating used sinuous spring on a hardwood frame, specified for a guest room where a chair is sat in several times a day by people of very different weights.

Every chair was checked against the approved sample before it was wrapped: seat height, arm height, back angle and fabric tension. Cut files, foam specification and the fabric reference are held on file, so when the hotel refurbishes a floor or replaces a damaged unit the replacement matches the original rather than approximating it.
